Here, choose the correct microphone input and speaker output, then test to make sure they both work properly. Choose whether you want your webcam video to appear in its native aspect ratio, and whether it should be in HD (if your webcam is HD).<\/p>\n<p>The mirroring setting can be convenient, but you may want to turn it off if you&#039;re frequently giving presentations or displaying text on the screen (otherwise the text will appear upside down).<\/p>\n<p>Consider checking the <strong>Turn off my video when joining<\/strong> option so you can always double-check your surroundings before your webcam feed kicks in. Am I going to accidentally reveal sensitive or embarrassing information and not even realize it?<\/p>\n<p>You can alleviate some of that anxiety by setting up your screen sharing settings correctly from the start. <strong>Settings &gt; Screen Sharing<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Under the \u201cWhen I share my screen in a meeting\u201d label, make sure it is set to <strong>Show all sharing options<\/strong>This way, the entire screen isn\u2019t automatically shared and you can always choose what to show. Do the same for the \u201cWhen I share directly in a Zoom Room\u201d label.<\/p>\n<p>Also, in the &quot;Share&quot; tag <a href=\"https:\/\/mastertrend.info\/en\/microsoft-copilot-recommendations-for-using-ai-in-windows-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"492\">applications\u00bb<\/a>, select the option <strong>Share individual window<\/strong> so you can be sure you are only sharing one window at a given time, not <em>all<\/em> of them.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"enable-meeting-security-features\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Enable security features for Zoom meetings<\/h2>\n<p>\u201cZoom bombing\u201d is a reality for some organizations and individuals, so locking down your meetings and calls is a great way to give you peace of mind against that, while also increasing the privacy of your data.<\/p>\n<p>To do so, log in to the <a href=\"https:\/\/mastertrend.info\/en\/block-websites\/\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"617\" target=\"_blank\">Zoom website and navigate<\/a> until the <strong>Settings<\/strong> section in the left-hand navigation. On the Settings page, look for the <strong>Meeting<\/strong> tab (between General and Webinar). Within the Meeting tab, scroll down to the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/mastertrend.info\/en\/chinese-and-iranian-hackers-use-chatgpt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"321\">Security<\/a><\/strong> subsection.<\/p>\n<p>Now, review all the options and modify them as appropriate. For example, set up a waiting room so you can admit participants one by one, require an access code for new meetings, limit meetings to authenticated accounts, etc.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"disable-file-sharing-in-meetings\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Disable file sharing in Zoom meetings<\/h2>\n<p>You can trust that the teams in your meetings won&#039;t send malware or unsafe files to each other. But can you? <em>completely<\/em> sure? ?<\/p>\n<p>Unless you are 100% sure that your meetings are locked and inaccessible to outside parties AND that every participant you meet with follows secure file sharing practices AND that they are free of viruses and unauthorized access, then disabling file sharing in meetings is a good safeguard.<\/p>\n<p>Log in to the Zoom website and navigate to <strong>Settings<\/strong>, so <strong>Meeting<\/strong>, then scroll down until you find <strong>Send files via meeting chat<\/strong>. Change that option to <strong>Off<\/strong> to turn off file sharing. (Alternatively, you can set limits on the <a href=\"https:\/\/mastertrend.info\/en\/reduce-png-file-size\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"2481\">file sizes<\/a> and\/or types of files that can be shared).<\/p>\n<h2>Zoom Settings Manage Meeting Recordings<\/h2>\n<p>Recording your meetings can be a great way to <a href=\"https:\/\/mastertrend.info\/en\/notebook-hinge-repair\/\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"1142\" target=\"_blank\">keep<\/a> archived footage of important discussions or demonstrations. But before you start recording, make sure your settings are the way you need them.<\/p>\n<p>First, adjust the recording settings in <strong>Settings &gt; Recording<\/strong> to modify where footage is saved, whether or not you want audio to be separated, and whether you want shared screens to be recorded.<\/p>\n<p>You can further adjust your recording options on the Zoom website by logging into your account and navigating to <strong>Settings &gt; Recording<\/strong>.
