You can install software through the software manager, using a huge repository of suitable programs, and it&#039;s all free. \ud83d\ude04<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"linux-lite\">Linux Lite<\/h2>\n<p>My next choice is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linuxliteos.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Linux Lite<\/a>, which is perfect for those with an older PC or laptop who want to continue using it without performance issues. As its name suggests, it&#039;s a lightweight distro designed for less powerful devices, taking full advantage of what it offers rather than demanding rigid system requirements. \ud83d\udc4d<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: block; height: auto; max-width: 100%;\" src=\"https:\/\/mastertrend.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/1737559226_305_Estas-distribuciones-de-Linux-son-las-mas-similares-a-Windows.png\" alt=\"Image of the Linux Lite desktop.\" width=\"1200\" height=\"601\" data-img-url=\"https:\/\/mastertrend.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/1737559226_305_Estas-distribuciones-de-Linux-son-las-mas-similares-a-Windows.png\" title=\"\"><\/figure>\n<p>Plus, it&#039;s very easy to use, with an interface that&#039;s not too dissimilar to Windows. You&#039;ll quickly adapt and be able to breathe new life into even the oldest laptops. \ud83c\udf89<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"kubuntu\">Kubuntu<\/h2>\n<p>Finally, you could give a try to <a href=\"https:\/\/kubuntu.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-schema-attribute=\"mentions\">Kubuntu<\/a>. As one of the most accessible Linux distros, Ubuntu has a huge software center, and many programs have been developed with this system in mind. If you&#039;re looking for Ubuntu, but also a Windows feel, Kubuntu may be just what you need. \ud83d\ude80<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>This is an excellent time to switch to Linux. Gone are the days when you needed an advanced degree to get Linux working. Now, there are dozens of distros that pride themselves on getting users up and running quickly and without hassle.
