{"id":34627,"date":"2025-02-05T22:26:50","date_gmt":"2025-02-06T01:26:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mastertrend.info\/?p=34627"},"modified":"2026-04-28T13:18:10","modified_gmt":"2026-04-28T16:18:10","slug":"future-of-nvidia-geforce-rtx-50-series","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mastertrend.info\/en\/futuro-de-nvidia-geforce-rtx-50-series\/","title":{"rendered":"The future of Nvidia GeForce RTX 50-series: Reasons to get excited today! \ud83c\udfae"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Future of Nvidia GeForce RTX 50-series: Uncover the secret! \ud83d\ude80<\/h2>\n<div id=\"link_wrapped_content\">\n<section class=\"wp-block-bigbite-multi-title\"><\/section>\n<p>The Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 are real, but they&#039;re not as spectacular as many gamers initially expected \u2013 at least not if you don&#039;t use DLSS 4. \ud83d\ude15<\/p>\n<p>I&#039;m worried about what that means for the $550 RTX 5070 PC that so many gamers have been waiting for, and whether the entire RTX 50 series could end up being a failure if the incredible new Multi Frame generation of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nvidia.com\/es-la\/geforce\/technologies\/dlss\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-schema-attribute=\"mentions\">DLSS 4<\/a> fails to take off <em>fast<\/em>. (I should!) And I have the numbers to back up my fears. \ud83d\udcc8<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/mastertrend.info\/en\/most-valuable-company-in-the-world-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"2917\">RTX 50 series<\/a>, powered by \u201cBlackwell,\u201d doesn\u2019t offer much of an improvement in value or rendering performance from generation to generation, plain and simple. The GeForce RTX 5090 dominates the benchmark charts thanks to Nvidia equipping it with 33 percent more CUDA cores than the RTX 4090, allowing it to achieve 27 percent faster speeds at 4K resolution \u2013 in exchange for an 18 percent increase in price and a <em>a lot<\/em> elderly <a href=\"https:\/\/mastertrend.info\/en\/geforce-rtx-5090-with-32gb\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"2918\">energy consumption<\/a>. It&#039;s definitely brutal and powerful, but meh for a new generation. \ud83d\udd0b<\/p>\n<p>The RTX 5080 is even less impressive, offering just 15 percent more performance than the RTX 4080 Super it replaces at 4K, and a dismal 11 percent improvement at 1440p. Plus, it still only has 16GB of GDDR7 memory despite costing $1,000. Meh. \ud83d\ude12<\/p>\n<div class=\"jeg_video_container jeg_video_content\"><iframe title=\"RTX 5080 Tested: Discussing Hardware, Benchmarks, DLSS 4 &amp; More\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/YaZT5OuW6v0?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><\/figure>\n<p>Of course, this has to be balanced against the huge performance gains offered by the new DLSS 4. <a href=\"https:\/\/mastertrend.info\/en\/rtx-5080-fe-instability\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"2994\">Nvidia<\/a>, and more specifically, its Multi Frame Generation feature. MFG inserts up to three AI frames between two \u201ctraditionally\u201d rendered frames to make frame rates and visual fluidity skyrocket. \ud83d\ude80 The frames it generates can cause games to struggle, such as <em>Star Wars Outlaws<\/em>, feel as agile as the legendary <em><a href=\"https:\/\/mastertrend.info\/en\/technologies-that-will-change-the-gaming-pc\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"2924\">Doom<\/a> 2016<\/em>As I mentioned in our RTX 5090 review, it&#039;s a true, literal game-changer, and will run 75 games and apps right out of the box. \ud83c\udfae<\/p>\n<p>But the RTX 5080 proves that <a href=\"https:\/\/mastertrend.info\/en\/laptop-rtx-50\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"3413\">Nvidia<\/a> is willing to bet the existence of an entire graphics card on the promise of DLSS 4. And the RTX 5080 isn&#039;t the only one. \ud83e\udd11<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"worrying-about-the-rtx-5070-series\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Concerns about the RTX 5070 series<\/h2>\n<p>Un poco despu\u00e9s de que Nvidia revelara la generaci\u00f3n Blackwell, analizamos las especificaciones de la serie RTX 50 para tratar de estimar d\u00f3nde caer\u00e1n las mejoras \u201ctradicionales\u201d en gaming. Blackwell GPUs are manufactured using the same TSMC 4N process, so there&#039;s no obvious increase due to a jump in transistor node. And rather than prioritizing <a href=\"https:\/\/mastertrend.info\/en\/wi-fi-8\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"2916\">performance improvements<\/a> traditional GPUs, Nvidia focused much of its attention on powering the RTX 50-series Tensor AI cores to accommodate DLSS 4&#039;s delightful Multi Frame Generation feature, as well as future technologies like Neural Rendering and Mega Geometry. \ud83d\udd27<\/p>\n<p>Again: DLSS 4 is much more than just \u201cfake frames\u201d. It has dramatically improved the fluidity of the <a href=\"https:\/\/mastertrend.info\/en\/category\/gaming\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"2923\">gaming and smoothness in our gaming tests<\/a> in a handful of titles that were made available to the press ahead of launch. AI upscaling is winning the battle over native rendering, and it makes sense for Nvidia to prioritize it in a generation where the Radeon team <a href=\"https:\/\/mastertrend.info\/en\/threadripper-7000\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"3707\">AMD<\/a> has already admitted that it is not pursuing high-end performance. \ud83d\udcaa<\/p>\n<p>However, if the dream of DLSS 4 doesn&#039;t materialize \u2013 if the other 75 launch games show more pronounced visual artifacts or glitches than we&#039;ve seen, if gamers reject the extra latency that AI frames require, a million other &quot;ifs&quot; \u2013 the RTX 50 series could become one of the most powerful generations of graphics cards on the market. <a href=\"https:\/\/mastertrend.info\/en\/asus-comments-on-q-release-slim\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"3093\">GPU<\/a> most disappointing in recent memory. \ud83d\ude31<\/p>\n<div class=\"extendedBlock-wrapper block-coreImage undefined\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large wp-lightbox-container\" data-wp-context=\"{\" data-wp-interactive=\"core\/image\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2573314\" src=\"https:\/\/mastertrend.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/El-destino-de-la-serie-GeForce-RTX-50-de-Nvidia.jpg\" alt=\"Nvidia GeForce RTX 50 series founders edition 1\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" data-wp-init=\"callbacks.setButtonStyles\" data-wp-on-async--click=\"actions.showLightbox\" data-wp-on-async--load=\"callbacks.setButtonStyles\" data-wp-on-async-window--resize=\"callbacks.setButtonStyles\" title=\"\">Adam Patrick Murray \/ Foundry<figcaption><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>We have already seen how core counts <a href=\"https:\/\/mastertrend.info\/en\/1-geforce-rtx-3090-ti-the-top\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"2926\">CUDA correlates with RTX performance<\/a> 5090 and 5080. It also keeps the same 12GB of memory as its predecessor, albeit of the faster GDDR7 variety. We&#039;ll have to wait and see how it performs in real life when it launches later this spring, but the 5070 has the potential to make the RTX 5080&#039;s minimal generational gains look comparatively massive. \ud83d\ude2e<\/p>\n<p>Nvidia hasn&#039;t announced any low-end GPUs yet. What we&#039;ve seen of the RTX 5070 laptop GPU makes us nervous about the RTX 5060, as a graphics card with just 8GB of VRAM in 2025 just isn&#039;t enough. We can&#039;t say too much about that until the card is announced and tested. \u23f3<\/p>\n<p>What&#039;s clear is that Blackwell&#039;s traditional rendering performance isn&#039;t moving the needle forward much. The RTX 50 series was designed for an AI-assisted future and it will depend on how DLSS 4 is received. \ud83d\udd2e<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"betting-it-all-on-dlss-4\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Betting everything on DLSS 4<\/h2>\n<p>Great news! I absolutely love the multi-frame rendering of DLSS 4 in practice. My fellow PCWorld video team members Adam Patrick Murray and Will Smith are also excited about it. And that&#039;s certainly a bet. \ud83c\udfb2<\/p>\n<p>DLSS 4 impressed me during testing, but many PC gamers disparagingly call AI-generated frames \u201cfake frames.\u201d Generating a single frame <a href=\"https:\/\/mastertrend.info\/en\/master-your-gpu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"2921\">RTX Series DLSS 4 Frame<\/a> 40 faced devastating reviews at launch due to visual issues and latency concerns. I&#039;ve seen far fewer of those issues in my time testing with Multi Frame Generation \u2013 or perhaps they just happened so quickly that my eyes couldn&#039;t notice them, rendering at incredibly high frame rates. \u26a1<\/p>\n<p>We&#039;ve only had access to a handful of MFG-equipped games, and the previous generation, DLSS 3, could be very hit and miss depending on what game you were playing. (<em>Microsoft Flight Sim<\/em>, for example, notoriously had issues with glitchy text). Making DLSS 4 available in 75 games and apps at launch will offer a <em>lot<\/em> of software in the hands of gamers to test, which is <em>excellent<\/em> and a big step forward compared to previous standards, but it remains to be seen whether they all offer the same <a href=\"https:\/\/mastertrend.info\/en\/ps5-and-xbox-series-x-glitches-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"2919\">impressive performance than Cyberpunk 2077<\/a><em>, Star Wars Outlaws<\/em>, and <em>Alan Wake 2.<\/em> \ud83d\udd79\ufe0f<\/p>\n<div class=\"extendedBlock-wrapper block-coreImage undefined\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large wp-lightbox-container\" data-wp-context=\"{\" data-wp-interactive=\"core\/image\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2573316\" src=\"https:\/\/mastertrend.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/1738247532_461_El-destino-de-la-serie-GeForce-RTX-50-de-Nvidia.jpg\" alt=\"Nvidia GeForce RTX 50 series founders edition 2\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" data-wp-init=\"callbacks.setButtonStyles\" data-wp-on-async--click=\"actions.showLightbox\" data-wp-on-async--load=\"callbacks.setButtonStyles\" data-wp-on-async-window--resize=\"callbacks.setButtonStyles\" title=\"\">Adam Patrick Murray \/ Foundry<figcaption><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Enabling DLSS 4 in all of those games won&#039;t necessarily be obvious. While some games are being updated for DLSS 4 by developers, many of the 75 games and apps will require you to enable \u201cDLSS Override\u201d options within the Nvidia App, which tells the gamer that the game will be enabled. <a href=\"https:\/\/mastertrend.info\/en\/best-screenshot-tools\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"3346\">software<\/a> to replace older DLSS 3 files with the new capabilities of DLSS 4. \ud83d\udd04<\/p>\n<p>Will gamers be able to do it? Will games with DLSS Override render as smoothly as native DLSS 4 titles? Will lower-end cards like the RTX 5070 and 5060 offer enough performance to hit 60 frames per second or more, the bare minimum needed to mitigate the lag that MFG causes, which feels devastating and dizzying? Will developers rush to add DLSS 4 to even more titles? \ud83e\udd14<\/p>\n<p>Nvidia is clearly betting on a \u201cyes\u201d to all of the above. Based on what I\u2019ve played, DLSS 4 can deliver heavenly, super-snappy gaming experiences that are simply impossible with traditional rendering. But if Nvidia can\u2019t convince gamers that AI-generated frames are more than just \u201cfake frames,\u201d the entire series is in trouble. <a href=\"https:\/\/mastertrend.info\/en\/ghostwire-tokyo-technical-analysis-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"2922\">GeForce RTX<\/a> 50 could end up being seen as a failure \u2013 because as we&#039;ve already seen with the RTX 5080 and 5090, Nvidia bet the future of this generation on AI and DLSS, <em>No<\/em> in traditional rendering. \ud83d\udcc9<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Nvidia GeForce RTX 50-series future: Find out how DLSS 4 can change everything in gaming.
