A network profile is a part of Windows that determines how your PC interacts with other devices on a network. When you connect to a network, Windows asks if your PC should be visible to other devices on the network. \ud83c\udf10<\/p>\n

This question asks you to choose between Public Networks<\/strong> and Private Networks<\/strong>Whether you connect to a wireless or wired network, Windows will ask you what type of network and settings you want to use.<\/p>\n

Private and Public Network Profiles<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

Generally, there are two types of networks: Private and Public. When you set up a network profile<\/a> As a public network, your device will not be visible to other devices on the same network. This means other devices will not be able to access your files, printers, etc. \ud83d\udd12<\/p>\n

On the other hand, when you configure a network profile<\/a> As a Private connection, your device will be discoverable on networks, meaning other devices will be able to access your files, printers, and more. \ud83d\udcc2<\/p>\n

1. Change the network profile type using Settings<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

Now that you know both profiles, you might want to change your network profile in Windows 11. Here's how to do it. \ud83d\udc47<\/p>\n

1. Click on the start menu Windows 11 and select Configuration<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n
