The 10 best monitors from CES 2025 that you should know about now 🖥️✨
Here are the best monitors CES 2025. ✨
LG UltraGear 45GX990A

Matt Smith/Foundry
He LG UltraGear 45GX990A is an ultrawide OLED monitor 45-inch monitor that, unlike most monitors in this format, ups the resolution to 5,120 x 2,160. 😍 But that's not all, it also has a refresh rate of 165Hz. If you feel that rate is a bit low, the “Dual-Mode” function allows you to reduce the resolution to 2,560 x 1,080 to reach up to 330Hz. 🚀
The LG UltraGear 45GX990A made its debut in CES 2025, but pricing and availability are yet to be announced.
Asus ROG Swift OLED PG27UCDM

Matt Smith/Foundry
The picture quality is exceptional. The monitor offers the contrast and color vibrancy of previous OLEDs along with a noticeable improvement in sharpness.
In addition, Asus looks set to overtake its competitors in the market. The monitor will be announced at a price of $899.99 and will be available for pre-order on January 21.
MSI MPG 272QR QD-OLED X50

MSI
The new 27-inch 4K OLED monitors that arrived in CES 2025 were joined by several 27-inch 1440p monitors that boost the refresh rate to an incredible 500Hz. 😱 They all offer a great viewing experience. amazing game fluid that has to be seen to be believed, but one stands out: MSI's MPG272QR QD-OLED X50.
In addition to DisplayPort 2.1 UBHR 20, which is also supported by MSI's competitors, the MPG 272QR QD-OLED X50 features a USB-C port with up to 98 watts of Power Delivery and a KVM switch. That makes MSI's option a better one if your play space It's also your home office. The design of the monitor is also not bad, although its rivals (especially the Samsung Odyssey OLED G6) are also very attractive.
Pricing is yet to be announced, and is expected to be available in the first half of 2025.
Samsung Smart Monitor M9

Matt Smith/Foundry
Smart monitors—monitors with a built-in operating system that can access services like Netflix or Nvidia GeForce Now—Trending at CES 2025, and the Samsung Smart Monitor M9 is the best of the lot. It is a 32-inch 4K OLED monitor with the operating system Samsung's Tizen (the same one used in its TVs) and a remote control. Basically, it's a small smart TV, although it lacks a TV tuner.
The monitor also features a couple of AI features. AI Picture Optimizer detects content in screen and adjust the image quality as needed (you can increase color saturation when displaying a game, for example). Additionally, the monitor features 4K AI Upscaling Pro, a feature that scales the quality of lower-resolution video sources. TVs have offered AI image upscaling for over a decade, so it’s great to see it finally coming to monitors. 📺
Pricing and availability of the Samsung Smart Monitor M9 are yet to be announced.
Acer Predator XB323QX

Acer
Achieving a 144Hz refresh rate at 5K is truly impressive. Such a sharp resolution provides a noticeable boost over 4K and should satisfy even the most demanding of viewers. 👌 However, if you're looking for a higher refresh rate, the monitor has a dual-mode feature that can reduce the resolution to 2,560 x 1,440 to raise the refresh rate to 288Hz.
Pricing and availability of the Acer Predator XB323QX were not announced at the show.
KOORUI G7
In my CES 2025 monitor preview, I mentioned that we shouldn't expect any new monitors with super-high refresh rates, and that's come to pass, but there was one notable exception. The Koorui G7 is a new 1080p monitor with an impressive refresh rate of up to 750Hz (a new record for a panel that's being released to the public). 🔥
The monitor achieves this feat by using an “old school” TN panel. While not as attractive as IPS, it tends to offer higher refresh rates thanks to lower pixel response times and better transitions.
Refresh rate aside, the Koorui G7's specs are typical for a 1920x1080 pixels monitor. gaming competitive. It has a 24.5-inch panel, can cover up to the 95% of the DCI-P3 color space, and while it does mention HDR support, it only states support for “HDR 400.” Note the lack of VESA in that spec, which implies that the monitor isn’t VESA DisplayHDR 400 certified, but is only promising to perform similarly.
Pricing and availability of the Koorui G7 are yet to be announced.
MSI MPG 274URDFW E16M

MSI
The wave of more affordable and powerful OLED panels has reduced the appeal of Mini-LED monitors, but there was one notable Mini-LED at the show: the MSI MPG 274URDFW E16M. If you’ll allow me, I’ll call it “the MSI” for simplicity.
MSI's Mini-LED has a native resolution 3,840 x 2,160, a 160Hz refresh rate, and 1,152 dimming zones. These specs make it an ideal choice for gamers who want to enjoy HDR gaming at high refresh rates, and the monitor is VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certified. If you want a refresh rate Higher for competitive gaming, the monitor's dual-mode feature can boost the rate to 320Hz with 1080p resolution.
Pricing and availability of the MSI are yet to be announced.
Asus ProArt PA32QCV

Matt Smith/Foundry
The appeal of Asus ProArt The PA32QCV is easy to understand. It has a native resolution of 6,016 x 3,384 pixels and a retail price of $1,249. That's a lot less than previous 6K monitors, which typically cost $2,000 or more. 💰
Aside from resolution, the PA32QCV also features a wide color space (up to DCI-P3 98%), an ambient light sensor, a LuxPixel matte coating, and excellent connectivity including two Thunderbolt 4 ports and up to 96 watts of Power Delivery to charge connected devices.
The release date of the PA32QCV is yet to be announced, but is expected in the first quarter of 2025.
LG StandbyME 2

Matt Smith/Foundry
The award for “weirdest, yet oddly appealing monitor” goes to the LG StandbyME 2. It’s a 27-inch monitor with a built-in battery. LG thinks it will have equal appeal to those who need a large, portable screen for conferences and those looking for a way to have a movie night at a campsite. 🎥
LG offers several improvements over the original StandbyME. StandbyME 2 increases the Battery life of one to four hours and ups the resolution from 1080p to 1440. But the best feature, in my opinion, is the new folio case (pictured above) that effectively turns the screen into a monitor large office laptop.
Pricing and availability are yet to be announced; the original StandbyME, which is still available, retails for $999.99.
HP Omen 27qs G2

HP
Don't be fooled: the monitor's image quality won't rival the alternatives. OLED. However, IPS panels do have their advantages, such as higher brightness and better sharpness at 1440p resolution. These improvements will make the Omen 27qs G2 tempting for gamers looking for a monitor for competitive titles. 🎮
The Omen 27qs G2 will be released in June 2025 at a suggested price of $449.99.
