Error 0x0000001A: 7 Easy Fixes to Fix Your PC Now! 🔧⚡

If you're reading this guide, you've likely already encountered error code 0x0000001A. So, why does error 0x0000001A appear, and what are the solutions? 🤔

Why do I get error code 0x0000001A?

Error code 0x0000001A, also known as Memory Management error, commonly occurs in Windows 10/11. 🖥️

If you see this error, it means there is a problem with your hardware, system files, or device drivers.

This error can also occur due to faulty or incompatible RAM. But don't worry, if you're seeing the MEMORY_MANAGEMENT error, here's how to fix it. 🔧

1. Restart your computer

Sometimes, hardware devices connected to your computer need a restart. 🔄

When you restart your computer, Windows attempts to install all missing drivers and replaces corrupt or outdated ones.

Reboot

So, if the MEMORY_MANAGEMENT error is due to driver issues, a simple reboot will likely fix it. 💡

2. Run the Memory Diagnostic Tool

The Windows Memory Diagnostic tool is designed to detect and resolve memory-related problems. Here's how to run it. 🔍

Restart now and check for problems

  • Press Windows key + R to open the RUN dialog box.
  • Writes mdsched.exe and press Enter.
  • When the Windows Memory Diagnostic tool opens, select Restart now and check for problems.

Your PC will now restart and scan for memory-related issues. If the tool detects a problem, you'll need to replace or reseat your RAM. ⚠️

3. Update Device Drivers

Outdated or corrupted device drivers are one of the main causes of the MEMORY_MANAGEMENT error message. It's also essential to keep your drivers up to date to improve stability. 📈

Update driver

  • Press the Windows key + R on your keyboard.
  • In the RUN dialog box, type devmgmt.msc and press Enter.
  • Right click on the devices and select Update driver.
  • In the window that appears, choose Automatically search for updated driver software.

4. Check for Disk Errors Using CHKDSK

After running the Memory Diagnostic tool, you should check for disk errors. The Windows Check Disk utility serves this purpose. 💾

CHKDSK

  • Writes CMD in Windows Search 11. Right click on CMD and select Run as administrator.
  • When the command prompt opens, type the following command and press Enter:
chkdsk C: /f /r

Important: Replace C: with the letter of the drive where the operating system is installed.

After the scan, be sure to restart your PC. 🔄

5. Run SFC and DISM scans

These two scans are used to repair corrupted system files. Here's how to run both scans in Windows. ⚙️

sfc /scannow

  • Open CMD with administrator rights.
  • Next, run this command:
sfc /scannow
  • If the SFC scan returns an error, run this command:
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

After running both commands, restart your PC. 🔄

6. Run Malware Scans

You should scan your PC for known viruses and malware. To do this, be sure to use a appropriate security tool like Malwarebytes. 🦠

If you suspect malware or viruses on your system, start your PC in Safe Mode and run antivirus software to scan it. 🔒

7. Free up disk space

Insufficient disk space can trigger error 0x0000001A on Windows devices. To resolve this issue, you can try freeing up disk space. 🗑️

Disk Cleanup

To free up disk space, you can run the disk cleanup tool, uninstall unused apps, delete files you no longer need, or clean up temporary files. 📂

8. Replace the RAM

Reseating RAM means removing and reinserting the RAM modules to ensure a proper and secure connection to the motherboard. 🛠️

Turn off your PC, remove the case, and then remove the RAM. Make sure you reinsert it correctly. Also, check for incompatible or defective RAM.

These are the best ways to fix error 0x0000001A in Windows 10/11. If you need more help with this, leave us a comment! Also, if you find this guide helpful, don't forget to share it with your friends. 🙌
