How to use Nearby Sharing in Windows 11 – Easy! 🚀

5. You will find three options: Disabled, Only my devices and All those close by. 🎛️

My devices only: Choose this option to share files with devices linked to your Microsoft account.

All nearby: Select this option if you want to share files with any device, regardless of the account used.

Once selected, you can share files using the Nearby Share feature on Windows 11. Depending on the option chosen, you can also share files via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. 📶

Important: On your secondary PC (the one that will receive the files), make sure to enable Nearby Sharing by following the same steps. 🔑

How to share a file?

The steps to share a file via Nearby Share in Windows 11 are slightly different than sharing a web page. Here's how to use this feature. 🗂️

1. Open your file explorer in windows 11. Now, navigate to the file you want to share.

2. Select the file, click right click on it and chose the icon of Share.

3. If you followed all the steps correctly, you will see your secondary PC in the option Share Nearby in the Windows 11 share menu.

4. Click on your name computer to share the file. On the computer receiving the file, select the option to Keep.

How to share a link (web page)?

You can also share a web page using Nearby Sharing in Windows 11. To do this, you need to use the Microsoft Edge browser. Here's what you need to do. 🌍

1. I opened the browser Microsoft Edge. Now, visit the page that you want to share.

2. Right click anywhere on the page and choose Share.

3. In the Share menu in Microsoft Edge, select the options for Sharing on Windows.

4. This will open the Windows 11 Share menu. In the Nearby Share menu, select your device.

5. On the PC that receives the link, click the button Open.
