Install Windows 11 Home without Internet
How to install Windows 11 Home without an Internet connection
Going back to last June, when the first versions of Windows 11 were released to Windows Insiders (and then leaked), it was discovered that Microsoft had denied the installation of the OS so that it would not complete if there was no free Internet connection on the device, which in the end forced to log in with a Microsoft account.
Unfortunately, while some solutions to bypass this restriction were soon to appear, Microsoft seemed to be planning to return to denying all of these methods.
However, apparently we will still be able to use one, allowing us to fill Installing Windows 11 Home without having to be connected to the network.
This is how a user tested and explained it in the Neowin discussion forums, who have just shared an explanatory clip summarizing this procedure.
Under the sole requirement of use of the 22000.184 collection, we will now explain to you step by step the entire development to be done:
- The first thing of all will be to start the Windows 11 Home installation process.
- Once we get to the pass «Let's connect you to a network», we will simultaneously press the keys Shift + F10 on our keyboard
- By doing this, a command prompt window will open, where we will write the command «taskmgr», running it by pressing the Enter key in our keyboard
- After this, we will open and expand the Task Manager window and click on much more data, trying to find an alternative called «Network connection flow»
- By right clicking on it, we will select the option for «End task»
- After this, we will only have to return to the Windows 11 Settings and follow the usual process to add a local account.
As you can see in the video, once finished, not having a connection to Internet, some icons will not load properly, as the apps will not have been downloaded yet. But don't worry, you did nothing wrong. In fact, something similar will happen with some current system apps, which although they will be able to run, will not be able to load anything.
After completing the installation with this procedure, we have the possibility to connect to the Internet to let Windows finish downloading the apps usually, even without being signed in with a Microsoft ID, which at the moment does not seem to be required to continue using the OS.
Having said the above, as we have seen on previous occasions, it would not be surprising that Microsoft ended up releasing some sort of patch to force us to register an official account.
