iPhone Travel Apps 2025: 9 Essentials You Can't Miss ✈️📱
Planning a trip to a new destination takes a lot of effort from start to finish. That's why I have a list of iPhone travel apps that help me plan perfect trips, from packing lists to sharing my experience. 🧳✈️
The best category for your blog based on the title is **#Móviles**, as it focuses on applications for iPhone, which is a mobile device.
1 Calculator
Checking currency conversion rates is essential when traveling abroad. While using Google for this is a quick fix, there's an easier way to clear up conversion questions. I started using the Calculator app on my iPhone to convert currencies, without having to look up the daily exchange rate. 💲
To access the conversion feature in Calculator, open the app on your phone and click the calculator icon in the bottom left corner. Now, activate "Convert." Your default calculator will transform into a currency conversion calculator. You can swap currency units and click the arrow button to change the currency. 🔄
The Calculator also has a unit conversion feature, which can be useful when traveling to countries that don't use the same measurements as your home country. This can be important for things like temperature, weight, or speed. 🌡️⚖️
2 Find my
Another native app I regularly use while traveling is Find My. During the hectic rush of boarding flights and traveling to new places, it can be easy to misplace your Apple devices. By connecting your devices and your family's devices (using Family Sharing) to Find My, you can have a stress-free trip. 📱🔍
If you use an AirTag for your luggage, you can connect it (and other third-party items) to the Find My app and locate it precisely. If you share your location with friends or family, you can easily track where they are and make finding them easier (just make sure you turn on location sharing first). 🧳📍
3 Apple Maps
Before looking at my favorite third-party travel apps, the last native Apple app I've been using during my travels is Maps. While I enjoy using both Google Maps and Apple Maps, the latter has the advantage of native integration with Apple devices and offline mapping, which can greatly help avoid data charges while abroad. 🗺️📡
Street view is also something I use Apple Maps for, along with its Guides feature, which gives you travel recommendations based on your location. Some areas are better covered than others, so your experience may vary depending on where you are and where you're going. 🏙️🌍

If you use features like CarPlay during road trips, then Apple Maps might be the best option for you. It also has a compass for navigation, among other features, that can help you accurately navigate to unfamiliar local destinations. 🚗🧭
4 Packr
Packing my life into suitcases to move across countries meant I needed a reliable packing list that was easy to track and update. Packr It turned out to be very useful thanks to its well-organized interface and customization options that helped me pack the essentials. 📦👌
Once you set up the app, you can enter your travel information, including your destination, travel time, transportation, and the types of activities you'll be doing during your stay. Based on your answers and the weather forecast for your destination, Packr generates a packing list that you can customize by removing and adding items, creating a checklist of things you'd like to check before you leave. You can sort items based on what you've already packed and see what's missing. 📋✈️
I've been using Packr for short vacations, and its collaborative feature, which lets you invite friends to your packing list, has been a draw for me to come back. Packr Premium ($2.99/month or $19.99/year) lets you create packing lists from scratch, access family mode, and duplicate trips. 🥳👜
5 (Not Boring) Weather Forecast
Apple's weather app has always been my favorite for checking the day's forecast. But when I'm traveling, I tend to use (Not Boring) Weather Forecast, given how fun it is to use. This weather app features a fun and interactive interface, packed with highly detailed daily and weekly forecasts. You can change the backgrounds for the temperature display and hear sound effects when a storm or windy day is forecast. ⛈️🎉
I also use the app for its detailed forecasts of cloud cover and moonlight. Its "minute-by-minute forecasts" are very helpful on rainy days, especially when I'm planning outdoor activities. (Not Boring) Weather Forecast lets you add widgets to your iPhone's home screen, enable weather alerts, and share forecasts with your contacts. 🌧️📲
6 TripIt
Your next trip could benefit from a trip planner that helps you accomplish every activity you have planned. TripIt It's been a staple in my travel app portfolio, helping me create detailed itineraries while planning my trip. You can sync your email inbox with the app, which will automatically add upcoming trips and plans to your itinerary. 📅🗂️
Alternatively, you can manually enter upcoming flights or car rental information (including ticket numbers and airlines) to keep track of your transportation. Enter details for activities like meetings and concerts, or create custom events. TripIt lets you securely add travel documents like your passport, driver's license, and vaccination records for easy access, and invite friends to your travel itinerary. 📜✈️
I like being able to create multiple trips and add detailed plans for each. While I don't use the inbox sync feature as much as I'd like due to its convenience, I find that my trips flow much better when I follow my pre-made plans instead of relying on last-minute messy lists I put together in the Notes app. 📝😌
7 TravelSpend
A big vice that can hinder my travels is overspending. Budgeting through an Apple Numbers spreadsheet can be helpful, but for travel, I like to use a budgeting app like TravelSpendThis app allows you to set a travel budget, including a daily limit, log expenses and details like payment method and expense type, and view how your spending is distributed across categories with a pie chart. 💰📊
I like being able to connect Apple Pay to TravelSpend so my expenses are logged automatically, but you can also enter your expenses manually if you use your card or cash. TravelSpend has features like a map, collaborative splitting of bills, and the ability to log all expenses in your local currency, making your travel easier. 💳🗺️
8 Culture Trip
Creating a travel plan is a good idea, but if you're traveling to a new destination and want to get the best local experiences, then a travel guide can be vital. Improvised plans and lack of time have kept me from reading travel blogs, books, and articles, so I like to use Culture TripThis app gives you access to personalized travel guides curated by experts. 📖🌍
Once you choose your destination, you can see a list of recommendations for restaurants and bars, places to stay, sights to see, and cultural activities. These recommendations, which you can view in detailed lists, can be saved and sorted by type. 🍽️🏨
The app has separate travel guides to help you plan your next trip using Cultura Trip's in-house articles from experts. These guides cover topics like food, train travel, and specific countries and attractions. I read these guides when my itinerary seems incomplete or I don't trust Google reviews for a local restaurant. 📚✨
You can also use Culture Trip to add a trip plan, making it a one-stop app for your guides and itinerary. 📅📍
9 Blog Journi
Travel blogging can be intimidating, especially if you don't know where to start. But it's the best way to chronicle your trip, capture moments, and see a snapshot of your adventure. Blog Journi He has been my travel companion, to whom I return to remember the memories of my previous trips. 📸📝
With this app, you can create travel journal entries (similar to the Diary app) that can include your thoughts, photos you took, and details like the time, location, and weather. Syncing your photo library makes it easier to blog and create multiple entries. 📅🗺️
Blog Journi has a map that displays your travel history, complementing your ability to add flights to your journal entries for a virtual flight stamp. The best part is that your travel blog doesn't have to be limited to a virtual journal. 📖✈️
You can create photo books, calendars, cards, or personalized prints with your tickets and have them delivered to your home. This can be a nice touch at the end of your meticulously planned trip, especially if you're a frequent traveler. 🎉📚
I find these apps meet all my travel needs and allow me to plan comprehensively. Traveling with your iPhone? Get an inexpensive MagSafe charging case to keep your device charged and learn how to keep your devices safe while on the go. 🔋📱
