In Doom the Dark AgesDiscovering the secret locations known as layovers in the sacred city of Aratum is essential to completing the Layover quest challenge. These hidden spots offer valuable resources, such as gold, a maximum health boost, and a precious ruby, which will be crucial for upgrading your equipment as you explore the city aboard your cybernetic dragon. 🚀
Although there are only two secret layovers in this chapter, they aren't easy to find. One is much more hidden than the other. To help you locate them quickly and achieve 100% completion of the mission in the Sacred City of Aratum, I'll guide you step-by-step on how to find both in this area.
Secret Layovers Locations in Doom: The Dark Ages
These two layovers are available as soon as you arrive in Aratum, right after the tutorial section in the caverns with the dragon. To access them, you must first eliminate the turreted Titans guarding them. Once you've done this, you'll see a green indicator pointing to where you should land. After getting off the dragon, you can explore on foot and collect valuable resources, but watch out for lurking enemies. ⚔️
Layover Secreto 1 en Doom The Dark Ages
Upon arriving in the city, Head to the left and locate a Titan in a damaged towerDefeat the guardian and land on this secret layover. Here you'll complete half of the Layover mission challenge. But there's still more to do to improve your resources:
- Go down the stairs to a lower balcony and enter the tower to discover a hidden area containing a chest of gold.
- Activate the Gore Nest and defeat the Pinky Rider Leader to obtain a Demonic Essence that will increase your maximum health. 💪
Layover Secreto 2 en Doom The Dark Ages
The second layover is more hidden, located at the bottom of the central circular area of the cityFly to this area and land directly where you'll find two Titans guarding a large landing zone. After defeating them, you can descend and explore this secret area. Here's everything you need to know to make the most of it:
- Stand on the green button and throw your shield at the superheated metal lock beneath the raised platform. Jump into the resulting hole and find the valve to drain the water. Now throw the shield to break the lock and retrieve the red keycard. Use the gravity lift to surface and open the door with the keycard to access more gold and a ruby.
- Eliminate the infernal cultists hidden in the lower corridor to advance in the Counter-Cult mission challenge.
- Explore the corridor, collecting all the gold. At the end of the tunnel, you'll find a Pulverizer weapon skin.
