Tutorial to enable Windows 11 recovery environment.

If you're a Windows user, you've probably heard of the Windows Recovery Environment. Known as WinRE, this environment is a stripped-down version of Windows that's installed alongside the regular operating system.

What is Windows Recovery Environment?

Windows Recovery Environment is activated when your PC fails to start. It gives you access to different recovery tools to diagnose and fix problems on your operating system. Windows.

You can use the Windows Recovery Environment to repair Windows startup, run cmd without having to boot up your computer, revert to a previous version of Windows, and much more. It is a simplified version of Windows, designed for users with technical knowledge.

Although the Windows Recovery Environment is enabled in all desktop editions of Windows 11, sometimes, the software malicious program can disable it with bad intentions. If WinRE is disabled, you will see a message error when trying to reset your PC.

The error message will say “Could not find recovery environment”, 'Please insert your recovery media Windows installation or recovery and reboot your PC with the media'. This message will appear only if WinRE is disabled.

1. Click the start button Windows 11 and select Configuration.

You can use the same Command Prompt tool to Disable Windows Recovery Environment.This is what you should do.

1. Open Command Prompt as administrator to disable Windows Recovery Environment.

2. When the command prompt opens, run this command:

reagentc /disable

3. You will see the message Successful operation, indicating that the Windows Recovery Environment is disabled.
