Windows 11 Taskbar: 7 Tricks to Hide It NOW! 🚀

1. Restart your Windows 11 PC

So, click the Windows 11 Start menu and then the power button. In the power menu, select Restart. After the restart, check if the Windows 11 taskbar is now auto-hiding. Hopefully, the problem is resolved!

2. Make sure the auto-hide feature is enabled

Before making any further changes, it's important to check if the auto-hide feature is enabled. Here's how to do it in Windows 11.

1. Click the start button Windows 11 and select Configuration.

3. Disable the Show badges on the Windows 11 taskbar option

Many Windows 11 users have reported resolving the taskbar not auto-hiding issue by disabling the Show Badges option in the Taskbar Behavior settings. So you can try that too and see if it works.

1. Click the Windows 11 start button and select Configuration.

4. Align the taskbar to the center

Many users on the Microsoft forum have found that aligning the taskbar to the center resolved the issue of not hiding automatically. You can also try this option; here's how to do it.

1. Click the Windows 11 start button and select Configuration.

5. Restart the Windows Explorer process

If there is a problem with the process of the Windows Explorer On your PC, certain visual features (such as the auto-hide bar) may not work.

You'll need to access the Windows 11 Task Manager and restart the Windows Explorer process. Here's how.

1. Type Task Manager in the Windows Search 11. Then, open the application Task Manager from the results list.

3. On the right, look for the process of Windows Explorer.

4. Right-click on the Windows Explorer process and select Reboot.

Your PC screen will go black for a second, indicating that the Windows Explorer process has been restarted.

6. Run SFC and DISM commands

If your system files are corrupted, this could be the reason why the taskbar won't auto-hide in Windows 11. You'll need to run the SFC and DISM commands via the Command Prompt utility. Here's how to do it.

1. Type Command Prompt in the Windows Search 11. Then, right-click on the Command Prompt and select Run as administrator.

sfc /scannow

sfc /scannow

3. If the SFC scan returns an error, run these commands one by one:

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
 Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
 Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth

After running all these commands, restart your Windows 11 PC. Then, check if the Windows 11 taskbar is auto-hiding.

7. Perform a system restore

If the Windows 11 taskbar auto-hide feature still doesn't work, it's best to perform a system restoreA system restore will revert your device's settings to a date when everything was working correctly. Here's how to do it in Windows.

1. Type Recovery in Windows 11 search. Then open the Recovery app. Recovery from the results list.

4. Select a restore point created on a date when the auto-hide taskbar function was working correctly and click Following.

The version of Windows you're using may have a bug or glitches that prevent the taskbar auto-hide feature from working properly.

You can resolve these errors by installing any pending Windows updates. Here's how to update your Windows 11 PC.

1. Click the Windows 11 start button and select Configuration.
