4. In the Change Account Type window, choose between Standard or Administrator and then click on Accept.
2. Change the account type using the Control Panel
The Control Panel also allows you to change the account type in Windows 10 and 11. Follow these steps:
1. Write control Panel in Windows 11 search and open it.
2. Within the Control Panel, click on Accounts user.
3. Select the user account whose type you want to change.
4. On the account page, click the link Change the account type.

For advanced users, the Command Prompt (CMD) is a powerful tool for changing account types. Here's how:
1. Write CMD in the Windows Start menu. Right-click CMD and select Run as administrator.
2. To switch to Administrator, run this command:
net localgroup administrators [USERNAME] /add
Remember to replace USERNAME by the real account name.
3. To return to Standard User, use this command:
net localgroup administrators [USERNAME] /del
