2. Change the account type using the Control Panel
The Control Panel also allows you to change the account type in Windows 10 and 11. Follow these steps:

For advanced users, the Command Prompt (CMD) is a powerful tool for changing account types. Here's how:
1. Write CMD in the Windows Start menu. Right-click CMD and select Run as administrator.
2. To switch to Administrator, run this command:
net localgroup administrators [USERNAME] /add
Remember to replace USERNAME by the real account name.
3. To return to Standard User, use this command:
net localgroup administrators [USERNAME] /del
