Speed up slow Windows computer 11 ways: Tricks 2025 🔧

Nowadays, with the advancements in technology, the workload on a system has increased significantly. Sometimes, our systems are unable to handle these loads and become slow, starting to lag. This usually happens due to a lack of RAM.

However, the positive thing is that Windows offers several features that can help you speed up a computer slow. Therefore, before investing in new hardware, it is always better to try software-based optimizations. Here we tell you how to speed up Windows. ⚡

1. Using an External USB (Ready Boost) 

You must use an external Pendrive to speed up your PC using this method. We will use our Pendrive or USB memory as if it were RAM in the system.

  1. Insert the USB or Pendrive into a port on your PC.
  2. Beam right click on the Pendrive in “This PC” and select properties.
  3. Now choose the button ReadyBoost in properties.
  4. Select the radio button “Use this device”.
  5. Choose the memory you want to allocate to the system for use.
  6. Now click apply and then OK.

2. Using a memory cleaning batch file (System Booster)

With this method, you will create a batch encryption program that will automatically clean up memory every time you run it on your desktop.

3. Cleaning Temporary Files 

In this method, you need to clean the temporary files stored on your computer. To do so, follow these simple steps.

1. Press the keys Windows + R to open the RUN dialog box. Type “%temp%” (without quotes) in the RUN box and press Enter. This will open a list of temporary files.
