As soon as you turn on the MacBook, the graphics chip starts to heat up. When we use it with games, video editing programs or other software that requires a lot of power, it will get hotter and will need more ventilation to dissipate the temperature.

If the fans and heatsinks are dirty and the thermal paste is worn, the MacBook will overheat and gradually the solders will weaken.

Many of the MacBooks that we disassemble are dirty inside and the thermal paste is in very poor condition.

Repair MacBook graphics chip

The macbook reballing It is a technique that consists of replacing the existing tin between the graphic chip and the plate. To do this, we use a machine that, by means of resistors and hot air nozzles, allows the graphics chip and the motherboard to be heated in order to be able to extract it.

With the graphics chip off the board, we removed the remains of the little balls that joined them together. Next, the reballing itself is carried out, which consists of putting the small tin balls on the graphics chip using a template.

Then we proceed to clean all surfaces with flux remover and remove residue to ensure proper cleaning. To finish, the graphic chip is placed on the plate, which already has the balls placed, proceed to preheat and solder again.
